Assistant Driver – Trailer

• Assist the primary driver in maneuvering large trailer combinations, especially in tight spaces and during complex docking procedures. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the trailer, ensuring all lights, brakes, tires, and securing mechanisms are in optimal working condition. • Safely and efficiently secure cargo within the trailer using appropriate equipment like straps, chains, or load bars, adhering to weight distribution regulations. • Monitor trailer systems, such as air brakes and suspension, providing immediate feedback to the driver on any anomalies or potential issues. • Possess a valid driver's license, preferably with a clean driving record. • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of trailer mechanics and safety protocols. • Have at least 1-2 years of experience in a logistics, warehousing, or transportation support role. • Proficiency in basic English communication for clear instructions and reporting.
