Aluminum Foreman

**Position Purpose** The Aluminium Foreman leads shop and/or site teams responsible for the fabrication and installation of aluminium doors, windows, glazing systems, and general aluminium works. This role ensures aluminium products are manufactured and/or fitted correctly, on schedule, and to the required finish standard. **Duties \& Responsibilities** *Team Supervision* * Directly supervise aluminium fabricators, fitters, and helpers assigned to the section * Assign daily tasks based on production/installation priorities * Monitor individual and team output against daily targets *Technical Oversight* 4\. Review shop drawings and cutting lists before work begins 5\. Confirm correct profile, glass type, and hardware are used per specification 6\. Check completed units (doors, windows, frames) for squareness, alignment, and smooth operation before sign\-off 7\. Oversee glazing, gasket fitting, and weatherproofing sealant application 8\. Verify hardware installation (locks, hinges, handles, closers) meets project standard *Site/Shop Coordination* 9\. Coordinate between the fabrication shop and site installation teams to ensure smooth handoff 10\. Track raw material (aluminium profiles, glass, hardware) stock and flag shortages early 11\. Liaise with the Project/Site Engineer on installation sequencing and access requirements *Quality \& Safety* 12\. Conduct first\-level quality checks before items are submitted for formal QC inspection 13\. Ensure PPE usage and safe handling practices, particularly during glass handling and lifting 14\. Report any near\-misses or safety concerns immediately *Administration* 15\. Maintain daily production/installation logs 16\. Report progress, delays, and issues to the Production/Site Manager **Candidate Requirements** * 5–8 years of experience in aluminium fabrication and/or installation * Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/foreman capacity * Strong hands\-on knowledge of aluminium profile systems, glazing, and hardware * Able to read technical/shop drawings without assistance * Experience supervising a team of 6–15 workers **Preferred** * Experience with both fabrication (shop) and installation (site) — versatility across both ends of the process * Familiarity with curtain wall or structural glazing systems Work Location: In person
