Website: Company Profile: App: Star Gallery Mart – Available on iOS \& Android About the Role We are looking for an experienced **Accountant with UAE accounting experience** to join our Finance Department in Sharjah. The successful candidate must have strong practical knowledge of **UAE VAT, accounting principles, IFRS, IAS, financial reporting, reconciliations, Microsoft Excel, and Tally**. We are looking for someone who is not limited to accounting data entry, but can **analyze accounts, identify discrepancies, solve accounting issues, maintain proper financial controls, and provide accurate financial information to management.** Key Responsibilities * Manage day\-to\-day accounting and bookkeeping activities. * Maintain accurate and complete financial records across business operations. * Record and review accounting transactions and ensure they are supported by proper documentation. * Handle general ledger entries and maintain accurate account balances. * Perform **bank, cash, supplier, customer, and other account reconciliations**. * Investigate reconciliation differences and resolve accounting discrepancies. * Assist with **accounts payable and accounts receivable** activities. * Prepare and maintain financial schedules, accounting reports, and supporting documentation. * Assist with monthly and year\-end closing activities. * Apply and maintain compliance with **UAE VAT rules and regulations**. * Review VAT\-related transactions and supporting documents for accuracy. * Assist with preparation, reconciliation, and documentation required for **UAE VAT returns**. * Ensure accounting treatments and financial records are aligned with applicable **IFRS and IAS requirements**. * Use **Microsoft Excel extensively** for financial analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and data management. * Use **Tally** for accounting, bookkeeping, reporting, and reconciliation activities. * Review accounting records and identify errors, unusual transactions, or inconsistencies. * Identify accounting and financial issues and provide practical solutions. * Coordinate with branches and internal departments regarding financial transactions and accounting documentation. * Support management with financial information, reports, and accounting analysis. * Maintain proper filing and organization of financial documents for audit and compliance purposes. * Assist with internal and external audit requirements when required. * Perform other accounting and finance\-related duties assigned by management. Requirements * **B.Com / Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a closely related field is mandatory.** * **Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE is mandatory.** * Strong practical knowledge of **UAE VAT rules and regulations**. * Good understanding of **IFRS and IAS**. * **Part\-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification will be an advantage.** * **Advanced Microsoft Excel skills** are required. * Strong hands\-on experience with **Tally**. * Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. * Good understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Fluent in **English and Hindi**, both written and spoken. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy. * Proactive, energetic, organized, and responsible. * Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned accounting responsibilities. * Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines. * Ability to identify accounting problems and take initiative to resolve them. Ideal Candidate We are looking for a **hands\-on, technically strong, and solution\-oriented Accountant** with solid UAE accounting experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large amounts of accounting data and should be able to go beyond simply recording transactions.
