Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountan t to support the day-to-day financial operations of our entities and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, a solid understanding of IFRS, and the ability to work closely with the team on regulatory reporting, audits, and month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments in accordance with IFRS. Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules. Conduct monthly reviews of the financial statements and supporting schedules. Prepare and submit all required DFSA prudential regulatory returns (quarterly and annual) in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure full compliance with DFSA rules, DIFC financial regulations, and applicable IFRS standards. Ensure the consolidation and financial requirements are met across all Raseed entities. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and classified. Manage the accounts payable cycle and ensure proper record-keeping of vendor transactions. Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections follow-up, and customer account reconciliations. Oversee the cash flow and liquidity position of the company. Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, responding to auditor queries, and coordinating documentation. Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and statutory contributions. Support working capital tracking and petty cash management. Assist in maintaining and updating the Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual. Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies. Prepare variance analyses and support budgeting and forecasting activities. Resolve financial queries raised by internal departments such as customer service and sales. Collaborate with compliance, operations, and HR on finance-related tasks and special projects. Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the finance team. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA) is a must. • Minimum 3u20135 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or reporting. • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). • Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and audit support. • Exposure to regulated entities (e.g., DFSA or FSRA regulated firms) is an advantage.
