Accountant

**Job Title: Accounts Assistant** **Company: Power Air Cargo** **Department: Finance \& Accounts** **Role Overview** Support daily accounting activities for freight forwarding, customs clearance and transport operations, ensuring accurate records and timely processing of invoices and payments. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare customer invoices for freight, clearance, transport and related charges. * Check supplier invoices against quotations, shipment documents and agreed rates. * Record daily receipts, payments, expenses and accounting entries. * Maintain accounts payable and receivable records. * Follow up on outstanding customer payments and prepare account statements. * Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash and customer and supplier balances. * Track shipment costs, customs duties, advances and supporting receipts. * Assist with payroll preparation, month\-end closing and financial reports. * Maintain organized records for audits and applicable tax reporting. * Coordinate with Clearance, Transport and Forwarding teams to resolve billing discrepancies. * Handle financial information confidentially. **Qualifications \& Skills** * Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. * Preferably 1–2 years of accounting experience; logistics experience is an advantage. * Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software. * Understanding of bookkeeping, invoicing and reconciliation. * Strong attention to detail, communication and organizational skills. * Ability to meet deadlines and follow up on pending work. **Reports To:** Accountant / Finance Manager Job Type: Full\-time Pay: BD180\.000 \- BD250\.000 per month Work Location: In person
