Job description
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures to maintain data integrity.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings, providing actionable insights to management.
• Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of salaries
• Compliance with UAE FTA regulations for VAT filing and Corporate Tax filing.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus for advanced understanding.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) demonstrating expertise and commitment to the accounting profession.
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a corporate environment or in Tobacco Import/Export/Tobacco Manufacturing industry in UAE.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Knows how to handle UAE VAT Filing and Corporate Tax Filing
• Knowledge in excise tax is a plus but not necessarily required
• From Tobacco company experience is a plus
• Excellent written and spoken English
• High attention to detail
• Must already be based in Dubai
