Academic Tutor & Learning Facilitator

We are looking for a dedicated Academic Tutor and Learning Facilitator who will go beyond delivering lessons. Using an accredited American home-schooling platform as the foundation, you will personalise the entire learning experience for a Grade 6 student, adapting to the child's strengths, building in flexibility where it matters, coordinating specialist support, and creating structures that make learning feel engaging and purposeful. This is a one-to-one role requiring genuine commitment, initiative, and the ability to work independently within a private household setting. Key Responsibilities • Facilitate and support daily learning through an accredited American online curriculum platform, ensuring minimum required study hours are met and logged each week • Personalise the learning experience to the child's pace, strengths, and needs, adapting lesson delivery, pacing, and structure accordingly • Monitor and track academic progress, maintaining accurate records and providing regular written progress reports to the Employer • Liaise with the platform's assigned academic advisor and coordinate any specialist or therapeutic support as directed • Plan and deliver a Friday skills-based physical activity and outdoor learning programme • Provide occasional light homework support to younger children in the household during the primary student's break times • Maintain a structured, nurturing, and professional learning environment at all times Want to stand out? Eligible Candidates: Certified Teacher, University Graduate, Vocational/Technical Instructor Minimum Education: Pgce Teaching Experience: 2+ years Licenses & Certifications: Teaching Credential/License, TESL/TEFL Certificate over 100 hours, TESL/TEFL Certificate Additional School Requirements: • Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject discipline, plus a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) • Minimum 3 years' teaching or tutoring experience, preferably including 1:1 or small group settings • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), including but not limited to ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or learning differences, is highly desirable • Familiarity with American curriculum frameworks is an advantage • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills • High level of professionalism, discretion, and adaptability • Valid UAE residence visa or eligibility to be sponsored • Clear criminal record check from country of origin required prior to commencement • UAE MOE Education Professional Licence held or willingness to obtain within 90 days of commencement • Elementary / Middle School, General cross-subject facilitation • Physical Education
