The Academic Director will be responsible for the overall academic leadership and strategic direction of the institution. This includes curriculum development, faculty management, student affairs, and ensuring the quality of academic programs. The role involves fostering an innovative and inclusive learning environment, promoting research, and aligning academic goals with the institution's mission. The Academic Director will also oversee the implementation of new educational initiatives, including those related to STEAM education, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Key responsibilities include developing and managing academic budgets, evaluating faculty performance, and fostering collaborations with external partners. The position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of educational best practices. The Academic Director will play a crucial role in enhancing the institution's reputation and achieving its strategic objectives, including meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student success and academic excellence. Experience with STEAM initiatives and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential. Responsibilities: • Provide academic leadership and strategic direction. • Oversee curriculum development and program review. • Manage faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation. • Ensure the quality and integrity of academic programs. • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Promote research and scholarly activities. • Collaborate with external stakeholders and partners. • Manage academic budgets and resources effectively. • Implement new educational initiatives, including STEAM programs. • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. • Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). Qualifications: • Advanced degree in a relevant field. • Proven experience in academic leadership and administration. • Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment. • Experience with faculty management and development. • Knowledge of accreditation processes and standards. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. • Experience with STEAM education is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, significant experience in academic leadership and administration, and a deep understanding of educational best practices. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic academic plans, manage faculty and staff, and foster a culture of excellence is essential. Experience with curriculum development, accreditation processes, and student success initiatives is required. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are paramount. A commitment to innovation, diversity, and inclusion in education is also highly valued. Experience with STEAM education and a track record of achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) are significant advantages.
